A small group of left-wing activists increasingly threaten the library board and push for porn and erotic novels to stay in the youth section. But the voters will prevail.

At the March 8 board meeting, the board voted 4-3 to end the district’s involvement with Panorama surveys. This is great news! I wrote about these surveys previously, providing several reasons to be concerned about them. But there is really one main reason:

The Surveys were not Anonymous…

Just after my last post, I received an additional document which appears to be the HSE template for “gender support plans” mentioned in previous posts.

The eight-page document includes this statement (emphasis mine):

Our accommodations for students are not an endorsement of their beliefs, therefore we can proceed with a plan without parent consent in order to keep the student safe and able to learn.

On August 1, I reported that HSE Schools was providing gender transition support to students and keeping secrets from parents. For example, they would provide a social worker to counsel students on transgender issues, while requiring staff to keep this from parents, stating that “staff should not disclose info that reveals a student’s transgender status unless allowed by gender support plan.” The district also required that “parents are not notified unless outlined in gender support plan” when granting the student access to opposite-gender facilities such as locker rooms and restrooms.

HSE Schools needs a change in the school board for the parents and the community to regain trust and for education in the Fishers community to return to the excellence it once enjoyed.

Candidates Pascoe, Albright, Lang, and Orr need to be elected on Nov. 8.

Moreover, the other book Ms. Pritchett supported for eleven-year-old children—A Quick & Easy Guide to Consent—asks children to reflect on whether they might like to engage in or fantasize about such activities as:

sending nude pictures of themselves to others (a felony for minors in Indiana!)

• group sex

• vibrating butt-plugs

• strap-ons

• bondage, floggers, whips, or blindfolds

• anal sex

The only solution to these problems is to elect four new board members on November 8. The last day to register is tomorrow, October 11. Make sure that you, and especially any teens who have recently reached voting age, are registered and ready to go!

It is inaccurate for Ms. Chambers to cite only one part of a three part benchmark in order to make an argument that HSE schools are doing an excellent job. Looking at all three components of the early college success benchmark paints a different picture. Only choosing data to support your argument while ignoring other data is called cherry-picking. Cherry-picking data leads to incorrect analysis and poor decision-making.

There is a problem with racism in Fishers, Indiana. Historically, of course, the most severe and damaging forms of racism in our society have been directed against people of color, and especially black people. That’s still true. But, perhaps surprisingly, the racism that I’m talking about today is directed against white people. Much of this racism is being perpetuated by a small band of activists in our community.

It’s up to the stakeholders in our community to decide who to elect for the school board in November.  If you are also concerned about HSE’s academic decline, then please vote for school board members who want to make student learning and student outcomes priority number one for HSE schools.

Data is important because it drives school policy and helps allocate resources for learning outcomes. We are all stakeholders in this community and are invested to make sure our public schools are providing the best education for our children. HSE administration should be committed to implementing the most sound statistical practices when interpreting quantitative data in order to make the best educational choices for our children.

Since Statistical Cohort Analysis is such an important tool to identify specific educational needs for our students, the question we must ask the HSE Administration is: “Have you been looking at the Statistical Cohort Analysis Data to determine an action plan to help HSE students recover from Covid Learning Loss?”

I count twelve HSE teachers in HSEqual who clicked “like” or “love” on this graphic, as well as an ex-Board Member, and current Board Member Michelle Fullhart who has yet to decide whether she will run for re-election in District 3. I believe these people are a minority in the HSE district, and it’s important to realize that I received a number of complaints from anonymous HSE staff members about this graphic. But, despite being in the minority, the “comrade” crew are determined and emboldened as a result of their current hold on the reins of power in the district. That’s what we need to change.

The election this November is extremely important. There are four open seats, and if we elect four reasonable board members, they will make up a majority on the seven-member board. If we do that, then I am hopeful that the new board can address the problems I’ve documented on this blog.

We are calling on the HSE school board to take meaningful steps toward academic improvement in this new school year and to prioritize learning recovery for all students above everything else.

None of this is remotely acceptable. Anyone at HSE who supports these policies is no longer trustworthy to have authority over our children. And I do not see how the trust can be repaired, since they have shown that they will hide facts from you if it serves their vision of what is right for your children, even if it goes against your own view of what your child needs.
